Where do Chapters meet?

Meetings are usually at member’s house but can meet anyplace.

What is cost to join AWS?

$49/year for individual and $62/year for a couple. Chapters may have dues to offset the costs of printer paper, cups, paper plates, forks, etc.

What happens at Chapter meetings?

Each chapter varies but at minimum,  wine education, a wine tasting and some socializing. Every chapter plans their own event but AWS requires wine education as part of any meeting. Our members generally gather before the meeting starts and have a glass of wine with 15 minutes of social. Members usually bring an appetizer. Each meeting has a presentation and a wine tasting of about 6-12 wines. After the meeting we usually socialize for a short time.

What is expected of me at my first meeting?

No expectations at your first meeting. Just attend, soak in the environment, fun and learn something about wine. No need to bring wine or an appetizer. After 2 meetings, join our chapter and the American Wine Society.
